A team-discovery business built for modern teams. We use our robot to help teams better understand themselves through wildly fun, challenging and unique games. Combine this with our strategy adapted from life-coaching and we can dig to a deeper team understanding while having fun. Knowing is the first step to improve.

Screen Shot 2017-09-20 at 3.41.43 PMWe had a blast …. the robot puzzle was both fun and challenging with well thought up problems both tactile and mental (and sometimes both). Our team performed well and solved the puzzles just under the allotted time. Our team was made up of engineers and we fell into our typical roles in solving the puzzles. We split into groups working on the the math, mazes or cryptography naturally and when we were stumped we stopped and collaborated on the specific problem.  Seth was present but unobtrusive during the game play and only offered hints when we asked. His hints were good …. just enough to move us in the right direction, or to keep us working on a problem that was almost solved.

Once we were done, Seth took us to the boardroom and asked us a number of insightful questions that enabled us to see the strengths and weaknesses of the team. He lead the discussion and has us consider where we were effective and where we were not. Seth offered insight and advise relating to collaboration and effective use of highly functional teams. Though we had no real critical flaws or difficult people on the team, it is clear that the exercise would have highlighted trouble if it exists.

I would recommend this event to any functional teams that would like to know more about how they work together. The time limit adds urgency and pressure in a perfect blend of stress and fun. It was like a personality test, but for a team rather than an individual.

Screen Shot 2017-09-20 at 3.41.43 PMIt was a fun experience, you get a chance to interact with your colleagues in a role that may be outside of your typical daily routine and get to solve some entertaining challenges. It was surprising for me to see that our firms flat structure was apparent with our approach to solving the puzzles. We worked as a group and it was truly collaborative. There were a few of us that threw out ideas, a couple questioning and often acting on those ideas, and one that didn’t say much but when he did it was worth listening.

However, I was quite impressed to see how well the puzzle functioned and the level of thought and effort required to work through it. It definitely serves as a great tool in analyzing the effectiveness of a team or group to work together and highlights the different personalities within that group. This was an overall great experience and would recommend it to others.
